Florence and The Machine- Unplugged: Need I say more?
Ben Folds and Nick Hornby- Lonely Avenue The amazing team up of one of my favorite artists and one of my favorite novelists. 🙂
The Civil Wars- Barton Hollow This is what Country music is supposed to sound like.
Ingrid Michaelson- Boys and Girls Cheerful pop songs about difficult things, and also Love.
Laura Cortese- Simple Heart- An amazing fiddler and an awesome voice. She covers a Feist song, and I have a signed copy. Just sayin’.
Foster The People- Torches- Indie/Electronic whiz kids! One of my favorite albums from last year.
Cee-Lo’s Magic Moment- Cee-Lo Green does Christmas, and I couldn’t be more excited about a Christmas album.
The Hunger Games Soundtrack- A great mix of folksy awesome including: The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Glen Hansard, The Decemberists, The Civil Wars, Pistol Annies, The Low Anthem, Arcade Fire, and others…
Death Cab For Cutie-Narrow Stairs Still what I like to consider Ben Gibbard and co’s Pet Sounds.
The Decemberists- Hazards of Love- Folk group takes on the Rock Opera and Rocks!
Kate Miller-Heidke- Curiouser- A great pop songstress with Opera training. It’s as unusual as “Politics in Space,” easily my favorite track. 🙂
